Nottingham, 12th to 14th September 2008

Entertainment

   until NSW2008 opens!

With the benefit of extensive corporate sponsorship, NSW 2008 has the largest entertainment budget of any NSW so far, and the party town of Nottingham is without doubt the best place to spend it!

Stanley Models - appearing live at NSW2008The luckiest man in Area 14 is Steve Workman. Veteran of many NSWs and Area Social Convenor for 4 years, Workman won the coveted role of 'Entertainment Officer' for NSW 2008.

Nearly as lucky is Steve's right-hand-man Adam Amer - himself a performer and entertainer (and legend in his own shower cubicle).

Steve and Adam are no strangers to organising big Table events, having laid on a number of Area Dinners and Ladies Nights with more than 500 people in attendance.

Vicky Armstrong - appearing live at NSW2008As many of these have been held at the East Midlands Conference Centre,  we are no strangers to the venue either. We put a whacking great load of cash in the budget right from the off and - thanks to sponsorship and strong bookings - we've been able to increase this even further. Let there be no doubt in Sherwood Forest and beyond, these men will deliver an entertainment package of epic proportions.

Beatrix Von Bourbon - Ministry of Burlesque Awards "Best Newcomer 2007"Here's a taster of what's in store...

Friday is a rolling programme from around 11pm till 2am. It kicks off with a fantastic pub rock band called Firewire: real pro's who will get the place jumping come-what-may - real 'sing-along stuff!'.

Following on, we'll introduce a top notch comedian, Pete Jonas (who has a fantastic CV).

We are also planning a crazy guest appearance from somebody you might have seen on TV... watch this space, she will make your eyes pop!

The Saturday is an absolute cracker. 6pm starts with meet and greet by the Deville Dolls and The Beatle Boys for drinks before the main dinner at 7-30pm (NSW has never before seen pre-dinner entertainment on the Saturday).

The Band From County Hell - appearing live at NSW2008

The Long Eaton Brass Band will provide a rousing backdrop to the gala dinner, and a thoroughly experienced compere and comedian Jed Stone will take charge during the formalities with side-splitting wit and have the entire audience revved up to party by the trophy presentations.

The next part of the show will include a truly wonderful frolic through the world of Burlesque. A parade of saucy and humorous girls show us what we have been missing out on. Adam went to see this act 3 times, he loved it so much. Guaranteed to impress.Jed Stone - performing live at NSW2008

Just when you think you can't take anymore, we intend to wow you with the massive 'Band From County Hell'. Forget The Pogues and Kirsty McCall, Julie will have all our friends from over the borders rocking the place like no tomorrow. Hold on to your kilts fellas! You are going to LOVE the Band From County Hell.

If that isn't enough we finish with another sight for sore-eyes, the gorgeous and sexy Vicky Clusky (aka Kylie).

Yes oh yes, we were going to give her a rest but we've been BEGGED to bring her back, but this time we've commanded her to bring a troop of dancers and to spice up her act a little!

Vicky Clusky - performing live at NSW2008We promise we have checked and double checked the credentials of all the acts, and we can say they represent the best folks for the job.

The night has something for everyone, we have designed it to surprise and flow like no other show you have seen.... sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
