Supported Charities

The Round Table supports a large variety of charities and local individuals.  It's aim is to benefit the local community as much as possible. The items below are just some of the organisations and individuals we have helped.

To apply for funding please contact webmaster@pontypriddroundtable.com all applications will be judged on there own merits. This Round Table covers the Pontypridd and Rhondda area.

 

 

 Money to help with trip away for costs of food, crafts, activities, services and skills bought in. For some this will be the first time away from home. Brownies get a chance learn to cook, clean, and housekeeping skills

 

 

 Meithrin mother and toddler group. Money will help with new toys and craft equipment.

 

 

 Provides canoe equipment and training to both able bodied and less able paddlers.

 

Global Citizenship

 3 Teachers / Teaching assistant travelling to Uganda to gather information to help with local school geography lessons, and providing schools in Uganda with information and supplies.

 Pontypridd Town AFC Jnr Section. Under 17 entry & pitch fees, various courses.

 

 

 Schools and Police Liaison Activities on the Summer Holidays (SPLASH) provides activities for children in care in RCT during the summer holidays

 

 Wheelchair

 Local resident given a powered wheelchair which would otherwise have been unaffordable. He thanks us and says "Now thanks for your help I am able to gain further confidence in getting out and continue my independence"

 

 

 Graig Community Centre is run by volunteers and relies on fundraising and grants to operate. It is widely used by Senior Citizens.

 

 

 Help a South Wales Child provides help to support groups that work with South Wales most disadvantaged children. There are 100 groups supporting around 5000 children.

 

 

 Bobath provide therapy

to children with cerebral palsy.

 

 

 Money donated to the Pontypridd Town Mayor's charity Barnardos.

 

 

 Medical student travelling to Mbale Uganda (Pontypridd's link town) to help with clinics and ward duties.

 

 

 The Sequal Trust helps disabled children improve their quality of life by providing them with items and activities based on the needs of the individual.

 

 Pontypridd Male Voice Choir

 Help with building maintenance and uniforms.

 

 

 Christian Lewis Trust Children's Cancer Charity help Rhondda families in their fight against childhood cancer.
